1. Web site Changes
The top and bottom frames have gone and the email and newsletter links moved to the contents list. My address, telephone number and map have moved to the main frame. All these changes make the viewing area larger.
The picture gallery has been redesigned so that you can select a maker and see their work without having to wait for all the pictures to load. Hopefully you will find this faster and easier.
Several links 'became' incorrect either due to the owners moving site or
to my bad typing. Hopefully all is well now?
Sites affected were: Griffin, Epoc, Lieber, L'Atelier, Hudson, Nussbaum, Oakwood and
others.
2. New Pictures
Epoc in Australia have recently announced their new 'Cello. A picture has been
added to the gallery.
The electric violin made by Griffin Guitars is now in the gallery.
Because of the way that I have designed the new picture gallery I can now handle more pictures than before. If you are a maker and have better pictures or more pictures to add, please send them to me for inclusion.
3. New Links
I have added the Thomastic site to the suppliers case where
you can get strings and Octave strings.
4. The Electric Violin Book
Is there anyone in the States who would like to and be able to be a US distributor
for the book? If there is please let me know and I will pass on your details to the
publisher.
5. Ask Andy
When I was about to send out last month's newsletter my virus protection software informed me that I had received an email virus. This was lucky becasue if I did not have this software all of you would have received it!. The virus was successfully removed and not sent on. If you use the internet and email please install some anti-virus software to protect us from 'these idiots'!
I would appreciate ideas for future 'Ask Andy' questions - product
reviews, technical discussions, making items???
Let me know what you would like to know.
I hope this has helped you.
