Hiscox cases are professional cases at a price
that is affordable. The construction consists of a moulded, high impact A.B.S. outer
shell, bonded directly to an inner moulding manufactured from a unique blend of 'high
tech' cellular foam. This inner moulding is feather light, and being semi-rigid, is
designed to soak up any impact shocks from roadies, airline luggage handlers and general
accidents. The violin cases are complete with a crushed velvet type cloth bonded onto the
shaped foam moulding. The aluminium valance is unique to Hiscox Cases. This increases the
rigidity of the case and ensures a positive location of the lid to the base when
closed. The valance extends deep inside the case behind the shell into which all the
hardware fittings are attached, including multiple catches and a lock . These features
make it enormously strong and comfortably light and designed to last.
